Ayios Philon Church
Ayios Philon Church is a gem on the North Karpazian coast near Dikarpaz. The 10th century domed Byzantine church features original floor mosaics, a courtyard surrounded by columns, a cistern, and a seperated room for christenings. The church bears the name of Philo, an early missionary in the area.

It is situated amongst the believed remains of ancient Karpasia's port, a city of possible Phoenician orign. It was eventually abandoned in 802 AD as a consequence of Arab attacks.
